Chocolate meets peanut butter in this classic treat
Ingredients
- 1½ cups creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup salted butter softened
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 cups powdered sugar
Chocolate Coating
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp shortening
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix peanut butter and butter together with electric mixer until smooth
- Add powdered sugar in 1 cup at a time
- Add vanilla
- Form into a dough ball. Pinch off 1 tbsp sized dough balls and form into balls
- Freeze at least 1 hour
- Melt chocolate chips and shortening in microwave until smooth
- Insert toothpick into each dough ball. Dip chilled dough balls into melted chocolate
- Place in freezer until hardened. Keep refrigerated.
