Halloween Cracker Toffee

saltine crackers

packed light brown sugar

butter, unsalted

vanilla

semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a 9x13 baking sheet with parchment paper
Cover parchment with saltine crackers in a single layer
In a saucepan, heat the sugar and butter on medium heat, stirring frequently.
When the butter is melted, cook for 3-5 minutes or until the mixture comes to a boil
Remove the pan from the heat once it comes to a boil; stir in vanilla
Pour hot mixture over saltine crackers and put the pan into the oven and let cook for 5 minutes
Carefully, remove the pan from the oven and top the crackers with the chocolate chips, carefully spreading the chocolate chips over the crackers
Place the crackers back in the oven for 2-3 minutes to melt chocolate
Remove pan from oven and spread melted chocolate.
To Create Spider Webs
Melt white coating candy until thin and smooth
Place melted candy coating in squeeze bottle or piping bag
Draw circles with the piping bag in the melted chocolate
Drag a toothpick through the circles to create the spider web
Allow chocolate to cool until hardened before cracking
